Praxis Security Labs has been advancing a human-centered approach to cybersecurity throughout 2023. Leadership has focused on shifting industry perspectives through speaking engagements and thought leadership.
Research and Speaking Initiatives
Thea Mannix, Director of Research with a PhD in Neuroscience, and Kai Roer, CEO and human factors expert, have been presenting on the psychology of security and resilience. Their work emphasizes that building resilience requires creating a culture of psychological safety for employees alongside technical solutions.
Global Engagement
The team has been active internationally throughout late 2023:
- Kai Roer has traveled to Zambia, Singapore, Oslo, London, and Berlin, delivering keynotes and panel discussions on security culture, human behavior, and AI ethics
- Dr. Mannix has presented at Sikkerhetsfestivalen (led by Norway’s Information Security Forum), the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment, Det Norske Veritas, and the Cognitive Security Institute
Product Development
The company is developing software aimed at eliminating friction between security and the rest of the organization while building stronger security cultures through unified human risk management data.
